General Situation
An anticyclone aloft will affect Guangdong in the next couple of days. The weather will be mainly fine over the region. Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Fung-wong will intensify gradually and move towards the vicinity of Luzon. It will then enter the northeastern part of the South China Sea, with a higher chance of turning northwards and moving in the general direction of the vicinity of Taiwan. Under the influence of a dry northeast monsoon early to midweek next week, Fung-wong will weakening gradually. However, the location of its turn and its rate of weakening remain uncertain. Under the combined effect of the monsoon and Fung-wong, the weather will be windy and slightly cooler over the coast of southeastern China midweek next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Kalmaegi will move across the inland areas of Indo-China today and tomorrow and dissipate gradually.
