General Situation
An anticyclone aloft will bring very hot weather to southeastern China tomorrow. The tropical cyclone over Luzon will move northwestwards, across the northeastern part of the South China Sea and intensify gradually, it will move in the general direction of the coast of eastern Guangdong in the next couple of days. Under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the tropical cyclone will then turn westwards, edge closer to the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary. However, there are uncertainties in its intensity and the location of making landfall. The weather will become unsettled over the region on Friday and over the weekend. It will be windy with squally showers and thunderstorms. With the tropical cyclone departing, the weather over Guangdong will improve briefly early next week. Besides, another tropical cyclone is expected to form over the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines. It will intensify significantly, and enter the northern part of the South China Sea, edge closer to the coast of southern China early next week. Under the influence of its broad circulation, the weather over the region will deteriorate significantly with winds strengthening again midweek next week. There will be heavy squally showers and thunderstorms. Seas will be rough with swells.
