General Situation
An upper-air disturbance will bring a few showers to Guangdong tomorrow. A broad trough of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to the central and northern parts of the South China Sea and to the seas east of the Philippines in the next couple of days. The area of low pressure now near Luzon is expected to develop gradually and move towards the coast of Guangdong in the latter part of this week and over the weekend. There will be more showers over the region. Due to the influence of the northeast monsoon, there are uncertainties in its movement and intensity. Besides, a tropical cyclone is expected to form over the western North Pacific to the east of the Philippines in the latter part of this week and intensify gradually. It will enter the northern part of the South China Sea early next week, edging closer to the coast of southern China.
