General Situation
The northeast monsoon will continue to affect the coastal areas of Guangdong in the next couple of days. Under the influence of a broad band of clouds, it will be cloudier with one or two rain patches over the region. A replenishment of the monsoon is expected to bring slightly cooler weather to the coast of southern China midweek next week. With the band of clouds covering the coastal areas thinning out gradually in the latter part of next week, the weather will improve over the region. It will be dry during the day. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Koto will linger over the central and southern parts of the South China Sea in the next couple of days. It will then move in the general direction of the vicinity of the southern part of Vietnam and weaken gradually. On the other hand, an area of low pressure associated with the remnant of Tropical Cyclone Senyar is bringing unsettled weather to the seas east of the Malay Peninsula, and it may intensify slightly.
