The intense northeast monsoon now affecting Guangdong will moderate slightly today and tomorrow. With the broad band of clouds covering southern China thinning out, the weather over the region will improve progressively with temperatures rising over the weekend. An easterly airstream is expected to affect the coast of Guangdong early to midweek next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Fengshen will move towards the central part of Vietnam today and dissipate gradually. The area of low pressure near the Luzon Strait will move towards the central and southern parts of the South China Sea today and tomorrow.
