General Situation
An anticyclone aloft will continue to bring generally fine weather to Guangdong tomorrow. An intense northeast monsoon is expected to reach the coast of Guangdong on Sunday, winds will strengthen from the north over the region. Besides, the tropical cyclone over the seas east of the Philippines will edge closer to the vicinity of Luzon and intensify gradually today and tomorrow. It will enter the central and northern parts of the South China Sea afterwards. Under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the tropical cyclone will turn to a southwesterly track gradually and begin to weaken midweek next week, but there are uncertainties in the location of the turn. Under the combined effect of the monsoon and the tropical cyclone, it will be persistently windy with rain and temperatures will fall appreciably over the coast of southern China early to midweek next week. There will be swells.
