General Situation
Under the influence of an anticyclone aloft, the weather will be generally fine over southern China in the next couple of days. Winds will be weak and the weather will be persistently very hot over the region. However, showers triggered by high temperatures will affect the inland areas. An upper-air disturbance is expected to bring showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong early next week. Meanwhile, a broad trough of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to the central and northern parts of the South China Sea to the seas east of the Philippines. An area of low pressure may develop within the broad trough of low pressure. With the broad trough of low pressure moving north edging closer to the coast of southern China, there will be more showers over the region in the middle and latter parts of next week.
