General Situation
The broad area of low pressure now over the central and northern parts of the South China Sea will develop gradually into a tropical cyclone today, and then move towards the seas south of Hainan Island. Under the combined effect of the tropical cyclone and a ridge of high pressure over southeastern China, it will be windy with a few showers and squally thunderstorms over the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of southern China today and tomorrow.
