General Situation
An easterly airstream will affect the coast of Guangdong tomorrow. The weather will be very hot with a few showers over the region. Under the influence of upper-air disturbances, there will be heavy showers and squally thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong on Thursday. The broad area of low pressure now over the vicinity of Luzon will enter the central part of the South China Sea tomorrow. It may then develop into a tropical cyclone and will move towards Hainan Island and the seas south of it. However, its intensity remains uncertain. Under the combined effect of the low pressure system and a ridge of high pressure over southeastern China, the weather is expected to be windy and unsettled over the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of southern China in the latter part of this week. There will be swells. Under the influence of a broad trough of low pressure over the central to northern part of the South China Sea, there will still be a few showers over the coast of Guangdong early next week. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Kajiki will move into the inland areas of Indo-China and dissipate gradually today.
