General Situation
An anticyclone aloft will affect the coast of southern China in the next couple of days. It will be very hot during the day over the region. The area of low pressure now to the seas east of the Philippines is expected to move towards Luzon and develop gradually in the next couple of days. It will then move across the central and northern parts of the South China Sea, in the general direction of Hainan Island and the seas south of it. However, its development over the South China Sea remains uncertain. Under the influence of the area of low pressure, there will be squally showers and thunderstorms over the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of Guangdong during the weekend to early next week. There will be swells. Besides, the tropical cyclone over the East China Sea will move towards the seas west of Kyushu of Japan and weaken gradually tomorrow.
