General Situation
The tropical cyclone over the seas west of Hainan Island will move across Beibu Wan today. It will then move into the inland areas of Guangxi and dissipate gradually. Under the influence of an active southerly airstream, there will still be showers and squally thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong tomorrow. With an anticyclone aloft strengthening slightly, it will be brighter over the coast of southern China midweek this week. The weather will be very hot towards the weekend. Besides, the area of low pressure now over the seas east of Taiwan will move in the general direction of the vicinity of the Ryukyu Islands to the East China Sea in the next couple of days. On the other hand, the area of low pressure now over the southeast of Guam is expected to develop gradually in the next few days and move towards the vicinity of Luzon and Taiwan. However, its subsequent movement and intensity remain uncertain.
