General Situation
The tropical cyclone over the east of the Philippines will move in the general direction of the northern part of Luzon today and tomorrow. It will enter the northern part of the South China Sea afterwards and intensify gradually, edge closer to the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong. However, there are still uncertainties in its intensity. Under the influence of the outer subsiding air of the tropical cyclone, the weather will be persistently very hot over Guangdong in the next couple of days. Thundery showers triggered by high temperatures will also affect the region. The tropical cyclone is expected to bring heavy squally showers and thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea during the weekend to early next week. Seas will be rough with swells. Under the influence of a broad trough of low pressure, there will still be a few showers over the coast of southern China midweek next week.
