Under the influence of an active southwest monsoon, there will be heavy showers and squally thunderstorms over the coast of southern China and the northern part of the South China Sea in the next couple of days. With the anticyclone aloft strengthening, the weather will improve early to midweek next week. It will be very hot during the day apart from a few showers. A broad area of low pressure is expected to bring unsettled weather to the seas east of the Philippines in the latter part of next week.
