Under the dominance of an anticyclone aloft, the weather will be generally fine and very hot over southern China in the next few days. A broad trough of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to the central and northern parts of the South China Sea midweek next week. It will edge closer to the coast of southern China in the latter part of next week. There will be more showers and a few thunderstorms over the region. The broad trough of low pressure is expected to linger over the vicinity of the northern part of the South China Sea during the next weekend. Unsettled weather will persist over the region.
