General Situation
Tropical Cyclone Wutip will move towards Beibu Wan to Leizhou Peninsula today. It will weaken progressively over inland southern China in the next couple of days. However, its associated rainbands will still affect the coast of southern China. There will be heavy squally showers and thunderstorms over the region. It will be windy with swells. Wutip will depart and weaken gradually early next week, but under the influence of a southerly airstream and upper-air disturbances, there will still be occasional heavy showers and thunderstorms over Guangdong. An anticyclone aloft is expected to strengthen gradually in the middle and latter parts of next week. The weather over Guangdong will improve and it will be hot.
