General Situation
The broad area of low pressure now over the central part of the South China Sea will develop into a tropical cyclone gradually today and tomorrow morning, and move in general direction of Hainan Island and the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong in the next few days. There will be squally showers and thunderstorms over the coast of Guangdong in the latter part of this week. It will be windy with swells. The tropical cyclone will then move over the inland areas. Under the influence of an active southerly airstream, there will still be a few showers over Guangdong early next week.
