General Situation
Under the influence of an anticyclone aloft, it will be persistently very hot over Guangdong in the next couple of days. A southwesterly airstream will bring a few showers to the region. A broad area of low pressure is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone gradually over the seas east of the Philippines, and edge closer to the vicinity of Luzon in the latter part of this week. It will have a higher chance to enter the northern part of the South China Sea. However, there are uncertainties in its movement and intensity. Under the influence of its outer subsiding air, it will be extremely hot over Guangdong in the latter part of this week. There will be showers and squally thunderstorms over the northern part of the South China Sea during the weekend to early next week. There will be swells.
