General Situation
An anticyclone aloft will continue to bring very hot weather to southern China in the next couple of days. High temperatures will also trigger showers and thunderstorms over inland areas. Meanwhile, a broad area of low pressure over the central part of the South China Sea will develop into a tropical cyclone gradually, and will move in the general direction of the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong to Hainan Island in the middle to latter parts of this week. There will be squally showers and thunderstorms over the region. It will be windy with swells. Its development and movement still remain uncertain. With the tropical cyclone weakening and departing gradually, there will still be a few showers over the coast of Guangdong early next week.
