GAC AION Innovates Again, Introducing the All-New AION UT Electric Vehicle to Inject New Vitality into Hong Kong’s EV Market
This compact five-seat electric hatchback made its official debut at Hoi on 2nd Floor Cube Shop in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, on December 19, 2025, attracting considerable attention.

With its exceptional value pricing and outstanding performance, the AION UT quickly became a focal point in the market. Priced at just HK$149,988—and dropping to HK$142,800 under the “One-for-One Replacement Scheme”—it presents an irresistibly attractive option for value-conscious consumers.

In terms of technical specifications, the AION UT delivers impressive performance. Equipped with a 60kWh lithium battery and a single-motor front-wheel-drive system, it boasts a maximum output of 204ps and torque of 210Nm. Most notably, it achieves an NEDC-rated range of up to 500 km and supports 87kW DC fast charging, making it well-suited for everyday use.
The vehicle measures 4,270 x 1,850 x 1,575 mm with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, comparable to Mercedes-Benz A-Class models. Despite its compact exterior, the interior offers surprisingly generous space, particularly in the rear seats, which feature a flat floor design for ample legroom and superior comfort. Owners can choose from eight exterior colors and three interior tones to suit their personal style.

Standard features are equally impressive. The car comes with an 8.8-inch digital dashboard, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system (supporting navigation and intelligent voice control), synthetic leather seats, ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, and an electric tailgate. Additional active safety-assist features further enhance driving security.
The launch event was lively, with TV stars Sarah Yuen and Tsang Kin-man serving as guest hosts, and local singer Zhang Yuchen performing live. Despite unexpected rain, the atmosphere remained enthusiastic. Wang Shunsheng, Deputy General Manager of GAC International, noted that the brand had already secured a top-five position in Hong Kong’s EV market by 2025, with models like the AION V and AION ES winning over local consumers.
Zhang Fan, Chief Design Officer of GAC Group, detailed the design highlights of the AION UT, emphasizing its compact footprint paired with spacious interiors. This launch not only expands the brand’s Hong Kong lineup but also precisely targets local demand for small, practical, and affordable electric vehicles.
For consumers considering switching to electric mobility, the AION UT is undoubtedly an attractive option. Its practicality, long range, and competitive pricing make it a standout contender in Hong Kong’s evolving EV market. As competition intensifies, the AION UT offers buyers a compelling new choice.
