Hong Kong’s fourth local chikungunya case unrelated to past 3: health officials
Hong Kong’s fourth locally acquired chikungunya fever case resulted from a new source of infection unrelated to previous ones, health authorities have confirmed, urging those living in the same area as the patient to seek medical advice if they show symptoms.
The Centre for Health Protection said on Wednesday that the source of the fourth case’s infection was genetically distinct from the previous imported and locally acquired cases.

Three men allegedly linked to a fatal attack on a suspected triad member in Sha Tin have been transferred back to Hong Kong after being arrested in mainland China.

A replica of the skeleton of “Hong Kong’s Whale” that famously wandered into Victoria Harbour 70 years ago has been installed in Shek O, where the original fossil once stood before it was destroyed by Super Typhoon Mangkhut in 2018.
