General Situation
Tropical Cyclone Matmo will move across Leizhou Peninsula today, then move into inland Guangxi and weaken gradually. With Matmo departing, the weather will improve over the coast of Guangdong on the Mid-Autumn Festival. An anticyclone aloft will bring generally fine and persistently very hot weather to southern China in the middle and latter parts of this week. Meanwhile, a broad trough of low pressure is expected to affect the vicinity of the east of the Philippines to the central part of the South China Sea. It will edge closer to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of southern China gradually early next week, there will be more showers over the region.
