General Situation
An anticyclone aloft will bring generally fine and very hot weather to southern China tomorrow. Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Matmo will move across Luzon and enter the central and northern parts of the South China Sea. It will then move in the general direction of the vicinity of the coast of western Guangdong to the eastern part of Hainan Island. However, its intensity remains uncertain. Under its influence, it will be windy with squally showers over the coast of southern China during the weekend. Seas will be rough with swells. With Matmo departing and dissipating gradually, the weather will improve over the coast of Guangdong at the Mid-Autumn Festival and on the day after. However, showers associated with an upper-air disturbance will still be affecting the region.
