General Situation
Tropical Cyclone Mitag will move across the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary and weaken gradually tomorrow. It will be windy at first over the region. There will be squally showers and thunderstorms. With Mitag weakening and departing, showers will ease off gradually early next week. The weather will improve briefly and will be very hot. Tropical Cyclone Ragasa will intensify significantly in the next few days, and enter the northern part of the South China Sea early next week. It will then edge closer to the coast of southern China. Under the influence of its broad circulation, the weather over the region will deteriorate significantly with winds strengthening again midweek next week. There will be heavy squally showers, thunderstorms and significant storm surge. Seas will be very rough with swells.
