General Situation
Upper-air disturbances will bring heavy showers and squally thunderstorms to the coast of Guangdong and the seas south of it tomorrow. The broad area of low pressure now over the west of Luzon will develop gradually into a tropical cyclone today and tomorrow, and move towards Hainan Island and the seas south of it. Its intensity remains uncertain. Under the combined effect of the low pressure system and a ridge of high pressure over southeastern China, it will be windy with showers and squally thunderstorms over the northern part of the South China Sea and the coast of southern China. There will be swells. With the departure of the low pressure system, the weather will improve over the coast of Guangdong during the weekend.
