General Situation
An anticyclone aloft will bring generally fine and persistently very hot weather to southern China in the next couple of days. Meanwhile, a southerly airstream will bring a few showers to the coast of Guangdong. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Podul over the western North Pacific will intensify gradually and move westwards in the general direction of the vicinity of Taiwan in the next few days. However, its subsequent movement and intensity remain uncertain, with a higher chance of moving towards the vicinity of the coast of Fujian and eastern Guangdong. Its associated unsettled weather will affect southeastern China in the middle and latter parts of next week. A broad trough of low pressure will bring showers to the coast of southern China over the next weekend.
