Cantopop star Aaron Kwok Fu-shing has been appointed as an honorary narcotics commissioner as part of the Hong Kong government’s latest campaign to stamp out the increasingly popular novel drug etomidate.

Groups seek 30% pay rise for Hong Kong domestic helpers to HK$6,500 a month
A coalition of domestic worker unions has demanded an immediate 30 per cent pay rise for Hong Kong’s 370,000 helpers to HK$6,500 (US$833) a month and for their food subsidy to be doubled.

2 arrested as Hong Kong customs seizes 20kg of cannabis buds at airport
Hong Kong customs has seized HK$4 million (US$512,820) worth of suspected cannabis buds at the airport and arrested two passengers who arrived from Bangkok.
A spokesman for the Customs and Excise Department said on Sunday that officers had detected suspected cannabis buds in the check-in suitcases of two men during the clearance process after arrival.
